GRP is ideally suited to chemically aggressive interior and exterior environments, e.g. coastal or industrial plant areas, where a risk of corrosion degrades the long term reliability of susceptible materials, particularly metals.
In harsh environments even highly alloyed stainless steel can be susceptible to failures relating to pitting, crevace, galvanic and stress cracking corrosion. Even where adequate grades of material have been selected, it's possible for structures to fail catastrophically due to other factors such as intergranular attack and weld decay.
We design and install corrosion resistant, high strength, lightweight, non-conductive, cost effective, low maintenance GRP railings.
Although a theoretically limitless range of applications is available, we typically supply:
Fire retardance is achieved using polyester or vinylester resins. Factory joints are generally bonded or made with mechanical connections.
